Meme Studies Research Network
Meme Studies Research Network (MSRN) is an international and interdisciplinary meme studies research network. The main goal of the network is to collaboratively establish a canon of meme studies and offer researchers an index of resources[1].
History
Meme Studies Research Network was founded on December 4, 2020 by Idil Galip[2], a sociologist PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, following a call for co-editors for a meme studies reading list.
Features
MSRN has a monthly newsletter[3], a reading list[4], a blog, a Discord server, a YouTube channel[5], and a Twitter account[6].
Membership
The network has over 300 members on the Discord server and is facilitated by a group of moderators who are all postgraduate researchers[7]:
